Its been a year…

I still remember when I first went for my social science interview at SMU. I thought city hall was the nearest MRT station and ended up having to walk all the way from Sch of Biz to Admin Building to ask directions then all the way to SESS. I reached there JUST IN TIME. Any second and I would have been late. But somehow, I have no memory of taking the lift to the 4th level. I only remember reaching the first level then the door to the interview – weird.

 Well, I thought I was gonna fail my interview honestly! Cos I dont read the papers, and one of the questions they asked me was ‘What in the past one month in the news did u find interesting?’ And i was actually stumped! GOSH! And I actually said ‘Nothing Much!’ Can u believe it? That was my answer but SMU still took me in. Maybe cos I answered better when they asked about what I thought about women serving NS.

 I’ve heard of how some profs ask funny questions like : How many litres of paint does it take to paint the entire fleet of planes belonging to SIA? and How many trees are there in the Amazon forest? I am SO THANKFUL I did not get such profs cos otherwise I think I would have frowned and requested to know the reason for asking (which is a BIG NO-NO).

And I just remember being so surprised when I received a letter saying I was accepted. This year, seeing all the interviewees going for the same interview, I had mixed feelings. On one hand, I was proud to be someone whom they are aspiring to be. On the other hand, I am getting the jitters for them !

Fridays are lovely. Thank God that He sent His Son to die for us on thi special day.

It is not by chance that you are on this earth, living the life that you are living, enjoying the things that you have now. Even the ability to breathe is a gift from God.

Leadership and Teambuilding Module

So, LTB execution is finally over. One was at Jurong Spring CC on a saturday, and another was at Bishan North CC (hmm.. maybe it shud be called Bishan North Void Deck CC) on a sunday. Both were quite successful. I dont know how to answer when my friends ask if it was fun… cos honestly it was not, but i still thank God for the success. The health screening had a resounding response and we’re very contented. Now we’re left with the presentation and portfolio, not to mention our learning journals.

Been trying to pray for at least an hour a day. An hour seems so little but really, its not easy with all the things happening daily and it just reminded me of how little time i set aside to talk to my God. But everytime that i do set aside that time, its worth it. Haha.

I have decided to take up a piano course during the holidays too! Just havent got down to signing up for it cos its still quite a bit of time away. However, actually i dont have THAT much time left either. Its already week 10 of 15 in SMU here. And week 14 is study break followed by week 15 exams. So technically i only have 3 weeks left! How time flies.

A lil bit of touch

Well, I got a samsung U700 on 4/3/08. Got M1 to deliver it to my house cos i bought at the online M1 shop. Cost me $88 (inclusive of delivery) Quite a good deal i would say. But of cos, the phone’s touchpad can be a tad bit too sensitive and it irritates me sometimes. But since i like samsung phones… its not that bad. Nothing is without its flaws!

Looking forward to my new york trip scheduled for 28th Apr to 8th May 08. Hopefully i get to see true new york instead of becoming yet ANOTHER tourist snapping away.

 I know what I want for my 21st Birthday: A DSLR. Any willing sponsors out there ?? I dont mind getting my present in advance!

Finally.

Everyone keeps asking me this, when, why not, which one and I am finally going to do it.

 I have registered at Comfort Driving Centre! Haha! BUT no manual driving for me. Auto is BAD enough.

But I am proclaiming on this first day of registration that I AM FREAKING GONNA PASS ON MY FIRST TRY. I MUST.

I would probably start class only during the holidays though. Not too keen about affecting my timetable with driving lessons.

There are so many other things I wanna do in the holidays : maybe i’ll go learn jap? maybe i’ll go for a piano course??
‘ka-ching ka-ching’… I am already hearing the money dropping from my dad’s holey pocket. Haha!

Well, right now I am sincerely praying for two things : hcj*** and 2010.
