Water Damaged.

Filed under: Life — yminisa @ 12:55 pm

And so the Sony Repair Technician called…

SONY: Miss Yan, I checked your T10 and found that it’s water damaged and the warranty doesn’t cover water damages. It’s cost $490 to repair. (crazy!)

Me: OH IS IT? WATER DAMAGED??? How come?! I didn’t drop it in water or anything! How did u know it’s water damaged??? (Haha. I tried ok…)

SONY: Cos there’s corrosion inside.

Me: (damn!) That’s terrible. Ok ok, just return it to me. I don’t want to repair it anymore.

There goes my pretty toy…

What Age Do I Act? Lucky Underwear!

Filed under: Uncategorized — yminisa @ 11:46 am

Pardon Me! But i’m hooked on blogthings.com! hahahaha

You Are 20 Years Old
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view – and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what’s to come… love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You’ve had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You’ve been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

This is the result for: What Colour is Your Lucky Underwear?

Your Lucky Underwear Is Red
You’re confident and bold, and your lucky red underwear will only make you more sure of yourself.
You have a great zest for life, and you tend to take on impossible goals – and succeed.

When it comes to love, it’s hard for you to take the time to open up. You’re too busy conquering the world.
So if you’re looking for a little more romance, put on your red underpants. And see where their passion takes you!

What Kind of Bride Will I Be?

Filed under: Uncategorized — yminisa @ 11:21 am

Took this quiz at blogthings.com! It’s quite an accurate result. There are so many quizzes there. Perfect for a boring afternoon in class. Haha. Just Joking.

You Will Be a Traditional Bride!
You’re the type of girl who is feminine, old fashioned, and totally traditional.
You’ve been dreaming of your wedding day since you were young
And you can’t wait to be a princess in your big white gown.
It’s likely that you’ll have a big family wedding and take your husband’s name
While a huge affair will be fun, just don’t go all Bridezilla about the color of your napkins!

I had a bad day.

I have a love-hate relationship with SMU. Let me explain.

I am starting to love SMU. I think it’s vibrancy is amazing and so is the way lessons are taught. I have learned alot in my first week of school as compared to my first week of school anywhere else. However, i don’t think by saying “I LOVE SMU!” however many times to win some shopping vouchers work for me. There’s only a limited extent to which saying is believing. It was kinda irritating that they made us shout I LOVE SMU even before school started and barely 4 weeks after matriculation. That said, i still am starting to love SMU. PLUS its LOCATION. hahah.

On the other hand, i hate SMU because (for an invalid reason really) it was their stupid bottle which (i didn’t close it properly actually) poured into my beautiful crumpler bag (which didnt even feel wet on the outside. i’m amazed) and totally made the inside of my bag look like a fish tank with all my notes, newly bought foolscap paper, pencil case, umbrella (ironic..), HANDPHONE, and…… MY PRECIOUS SONY T-10 CAMERA look like floating dead fishes! OH MY. I just bought that camera with my own money so recently and it’s soaked soaked soaked!

I really pray that God will help me dry up those two precious electronics of mine.

Vast.

I cant help but notice that discrimination whether positive or negative is still very well alive even with laws against it.

And i feel excruciatingly disgusted to be discriminated against even in the smallest issue. Walked into a shoe shop in Vivocity shortly before a family of Caucasian tourists and obviously they were greeted instead of me. And when i walked out shortly after them, they were farewell-ed not me. This, although small, was really apparent and it pissed me off. Not forgetting the fact that the storekeeper herself was an Asian. I am sure a filthy rich Asian family walking into the store would get a similar treatment as the one i got. Just because of the skin colour.

That’s why i’m thankful for the occasional Topshop staff who stands at the door to greet customers.

Laugh.

Filed under: Random — yminisa @ 2:06 am

Saw a banner outside a church which said:

God is the potter, not Harry.

I just couldnt stop laughing when i saw it and was proud of the church’s creativity

Had a great day of fun and shopping with mum yesterday. Went to Vivocity and bought some clothings from river island and warehouse. I have long forgotten the chemical reactions that takes place when you shop non stop – no guilt too. Yesterday was a good reminder.

Carried on to watch 881 at GV and i must admit it’s the best local movie i’ve seen but that’s cos i haven seen many. I think the Jack Neo films are getting kinda boring, with very similar stereotypes and storyline – usually ah longs ah lians ah bengs and criticism of the government. I think 881 was a fresh experience and i think all Singaporeans should quit criticisin the government and give constructive suggestions instead.

881 gets a 7/10. Mainly cos of the humour and it’s inclusion of tragedy too. May and Choy’s acting was quite bad. So was the chinese. U gotta understand Hokkien to understand and appreciate the show better. Good thing there are subtitles! I think 881 was a fresh experience and i think all Singaporeans should quit criticisin the government and give constructive suggestions instead.

Come on man, be more patriotic. Give thanks.

All right, i cant imagine i actually queued up for these a dollar each donuts at Vivo. I tell you it was totally because there wasn’t much to do on a hot sunny weekday afternoon. It was not very tasty. Certainly not worth queuing for hours. Variety was limited and the doughnut was nice only cos of the toppings. The bread itself was just…. kinda tough.

Looking forward to school?

Filed under: Life — yminisa @ 11:21 am

I went thru two  things that i dreaded most.

1) Social Science Camp

2) FTB Camp

Social Science Camp was definitely quite fun. Thank God for a good group who made it interesting. And thank the Facis for teaching me KA-CHING!! Nice to know that i have a great family to look forward to when i start school. Though i’m really still blur abt bidding and timetable etc.

FTB was really memorable. Huge thanks go out to every member of SPARTANTY 2 (i came up with the name! I know it’s kinda silly) Haha. And not forgetting Xue Hui. I was initially upset that i got a group that wasn’t really enthusiastic and always needing prompting and nagging to do things eg. come up with group name/cheer. But the last day really made me love my group so much. Spending that 2-3 hours chatting, playing, joking and laughing made me realise there was something special despite the nua-nua nature of the group. hahaha.

Although every activity was brain draining and physically tiring at times, we went thru it as a group. And the proudest moment was when we got 3rd in the final challenge. OH MY GOODNESS. It’s a miracle and i’m still in disbelief. I’m so proud of my group! We endured every step of the race and been thru so much together.

Thank you SPARTAN TY 2 for the unforgettable experience. BUT of cos i must not forget to mention abt the TOILET and the concrete hard floor which was my bed for two nights.

My social life has been good too. The development in relationships and the new found faith in the future and how things will turn out has been encouraging. Hopefully what you say abt wat ur mum thinks is true.

Thank God for my 05A53 classmates cos they’ve always and still are a great bunch of friends and support.
