First Post. 2007.

Counting down to the year 2007 was jusst pure fun.

Firstly, i need to thank City Harvest Church for the wonderful service that it held. Made me rethink lots of stuffs and also felt totally in touch with God again. Thank you.

Secondly, i want to thank God for the beautiful display of fireworks. Although we were unable to get to where we had wanted but the spot that God ‘assigned’ for us was really good, with only a 20% obstructed view. And i am really thankful becos we were right at the u-turn to shenton way, making it so easy for us to go home!

And to all of my friends and readers of this blog, MERRY NEW YEAR.

(thought it’s boring saying HAPPY all the time, makes it really unhappy)

New Year’s Eve.

On  the last day of 2006, i’d like to thank my parents for their love, my brother and sis in law for their helping hands, my niece for the smiles and laughter she brought to my life, my to-be nephew for bringing more joy.

I’d like to thank 05A53 for helping me tide through the A levels, special mention goes to Qi Xin, Andrew, Leslie, Trish and Mel. Also, I’d like to thank VJC for providing the bare minimum knowledge i need to sit for my A levels (haha. ok lah, i did learn ALOT in the school) And also special thanks to my dance EXCO and concert comm members for their unyielding harwork and support thru the concert preparation etc.

Finally, on a more personal note, I wanna thank God for everything, good and bad, the joy i had for the good and all the lessons i learnt thru the bad. And to Enjian for 2nd and 9th September and 23rd Dec and for being there for me all the time.

28th November.

Hung out with my JC mates, and regretted (i think) missing their quote “damn fun” unquote K-Box session. Would wish to be right and continue in my believe that it is a place mainly for Bengs and Lians but i think i shall be a little more flexi since my precious friends are in love with the place.

Dinner and Starbucks was good too no less.

Tress Stress

I know i have asked many of you again and again. That is because i am really uncertain. And the question is, should i cut my hair short?

I wanna try cutting bob. But i am totally unsure whether it will make me look plump. I know i have a sharp face but i am not very tall and my body shape is round. so a round hair would make me look rounder!

But, i really wanna try something different too, havingcut my hair short only once in my whole 18 years…

Venetian Masks

Oh can someone please please get me a real handmade venetian mask, i’d be so thankful. I am in love with them! The mysterious feel it exudes, and the face hiding behind the mask (preferably some Italian hunk)! No offence, but seriously so much better than the masks from Indonesia, China and Japan.

I haven seen a venetian masks that isn’t nice! They are just either beautiful or more beautiful. I wanna go to Italy…..

Birkenstock

THANK YOU TO ALL 8 OF YOU !!!!

Thank you so much for buying the birkenstocks for my birthday present because it saved my life!!!

It is a terribly useful, comfortable and lovely shoe.

I haven really tested it for non-slip but so far i have not slipped.

What i have to say is that i stepped onto a nail, with the sharp side up while wearing my birkenstocks, and its quality thickness saved my foot from getting pierced.

More than just that, it has been a wonderful fashion acessory.

Christmas has been wonderful, although the older you get the fewer presents you get (for me at least) but i guess Christmas isn’t just about the gifts! (i’m trying to console myself) I had a really great time planning the parties, seeing the guests happy is the greatest incentive and reward. But it’s really tiring.

Rain.

It’s been raining so much. I think raining cats and dogs is over-used and is a lousy description. I wonder who came up with it.

I love how it feels to have cool wind blowing in your face.

I love to wake up while it’s still raining.

I love to go to bed while it’s still raining.

I love to walk in puddles while it’s still raining.

I love the rain.

I don”t know why they make such a big fuss out of some flooding in SMALL areas of Singapore instead of reporting more important things. Isn’t it wonderful to feel the water with your feet, to feel it’s coldness, reminding you that things are also unpredictable.

This rain has led me to think so much, apart from shopping so much (bought my first pair of leggings believe it or not!) One think that it made me recall is Ted Hughes and his series of unmanageable, dreadful but totally sense-ful poems on the natural world. I’d love to type his entire poem out but that’d be mad. So, just to end off…

“Rain. Floods. Frost. And after frost, rain.”
