Updates.

Met up with the A53 gang on friday for a little session of Jumbo Seafood! We had pepper crab and chili crab along with 15 mantous and cereal prawn, veg and scallop with yam. In myopinion, the food isnt much difernece from the east coast food centre. Except that over there the pepper crab seems much hotter (i dont mean spicier). Perhaps they just heated the black pepper crab up that’s all. Who knows. But it was a good time of catching up although there was only divyesh leslie jean shawn and didi. They went on to attent Baybeats and I was a pity I had the photog trail the next day so I didnt join them.

Well, for photog trail, I cannot say I thoroughly enjoyed myself. But it was still fun being there and preparing this trail for the participants. I guess the EXCO has bonded more over these events. I certainly feel closer to them already.

Recently, I have been wanting to do so many things. I want to play the violin, I want to take up piano lessons again, I want to pass my driving (ongoing process), I want to go on a holiday, I want to take up external dance classes blah blah blah. But I bet if i started on any of these apart from driving I wouldnt complete them. So let’s just finish driving first. HAHA.

New York New York

Went to service at New Creation Church today. Pastor Prince preached on contents which were really what I have been wanting the Lord to answer. Issues regarding the fear of the Lord and also Acts 5. The faithful Lord answered both of them in one sermon and it really touched my heart.

Week 2 is starting tomorrow. Everything seems to be passing so quickly.

I feel the travel bug biting me again. ANd its really biting hard this time. Crap. I actually feel like going back to New York.

RED!

BANGS.

Filed under: Life — yminisa @ 3:32 pm

So I went to the hairdresser and decided  to get a haircut before school started. I told the woman I wanted to trim it shorter, and I want my fringe to be cut slightly, and change my hair parting. I also said that I DONT WANT BANGS. And I wanted my fringe slanted but shorter.

STUPID. She gave me BANGS. So see me in school tmr with ugly BANGS.

I told her TWICE during the haircut that I wanted my fringe SLANTED. But she gave me a straight cut BANGS. I gave up in her inability to take instructions. I then said I wanted my bangs thinner. She nodded. And then proceeded to just trim the length. WHAT ??? I really gave up.

YUCKS. My first ever hair disaster.

School’s starting soon for me.

18th August 2008.

Now I’d be a Year 2 and academically, I am wondering what I shall be aiming for.

Most importantly, no C or B- for me. Not easy for me – not very intellectual nor very hardworking.

I am sometimes so pissed with myself. Some pple can just revise, study a bit and do well. And for me, even if I study, I still dont do as well as I want to. Maybe that’s my personal 20-year curse. Oh and dont tell me it’ll take 48 years to break it.

Damn.

48 years

So…. Singapore has finally broken the 48-year curse of a no-medal.

I was following the match closely. Covering my eyes whenever it neared match point, trying to look away whenever the Koreans shouted. My mum said my face turned increasingly red with each passing match – i’m convinced it was the sun at FTB.

I was E-L-A-T-E-D when Singapore won. But I cant help but be bugged by the fact that all three players were not born-Singaporeans. I certainly hope that there will be more Singapore-born athletes to come. But I am still very proud of what the three players have done and achieved. I wonder how the Chinese felt when they saw a Chinese coach for the American gymnastic team. Were they thinking traitor ?

I wonder if Tan Howe Liang is feeling upset……

I went to Changi Airport Terminal 3 for a walk with my parents today and decided to go to Coffee Club at the Departure Hall for a cuppa. We walked to the entrance and since it said ‘Please wait to be seated’ so we waited. But the problem was, no one came to serve us. It doesnt bother me much if none of them saw us or were SINCERELY busy. Sadly for them, the waiter saw us, but went to take orders for a group of ladies who did not even call for him. The Manager saw us, but took a call (so, never mind, let him finish), then he went to the kitchen to say somethin and never came to serve us. So, we just walked away. STUPID.

Watched the Olympics opening last night. It was really quite spectacular. I had honestly expected much less from China but I guess they really didnt disappoint. Guess you can always count on ‘face’ to do things. I loved the lighting of the torch. Really COOL. But I have this evil thought – i think alot of the opening programme and ideas were helped by foreigners.

Then I also watched weightlifting (shucks. they shud just not have the women’s segment, they look SO manly except for a rare few), cycling, gymnastics (my favourite part!), beach volleyball… Quite good for passing time! Cant wait to see Singaporeans in action!

These are some photos from FTB Run 1 & Run 2!

Went to Raoul recently (Paragon and Raffles City) and I must really compliment them for their service. Although to them I was probably just young lady who wasnt dressed very well and was in fact in just a simple dress and flats, they gave me excellent service. I did not sense any form of judgement from them. In fact, they even asked if i wanted to try on their new arrivals, the shoes and be their member too. Coolness.

More photos from socsc camp coming !

I also checked out Marina Bay Golf Driving Range.

WOW.

I dont really wanna blog about it here in case it starts getting crowded and I end up with no seat there. Haha.

Verdict: 4.5/5 The high scores’ for the CITY VIEW + fireworks (which i saw last night!) Food wise, so far it has been ok, except the Hokkien Prawn Mee which was really salty.
