This is my Home

Filed under: Uncategorized — yminisa @ 2:54 pm

The first thing that i thought of when i stepped out from the Immigration area at the Singapore Customs on my way back from Genting was:

I’m Home.

And then that National Day popped into my head. And I could really feel the emotions in the song.

This is where i wont be alone. For this is where i know i’m home…

But then again, on second thoughts, I felt that it applies to pple living in singapore and not necessarily singaporeans.

Went to Genting over the weekends, wouldnt say that it was very worth my time.

Most of the time was spent waiting.

Most of the time was spent making decision.

Most of my energy was spent dealing with people.

And theme parks had to be closed on the last day…

What could be worse?

Discomfort. Frustration. Fatigue.

Woo Hoo!

I had a great day! Did some serious retail therapy. Bought a Guess bag and a Nine West shoe. Nah, i’m not filthy rich. Both were bought at a sale in Takashimaya. Gosh, the stuffs they sell there are SOLID. A must go for all gender and ages. They even have GAP kids, Guess Kids and Lifebaby clothings!!!

And, most importantly, i bought a camera. Although it was not the one i wanted initially but it is still pretty and not too ex. It’s a Canon IXUS.

Thank You Father and Daddy!

I had a birthday surprise today. Though it wasnt anything out of the norm, it was something we’ve never done and enjoyed doing. Although half of the stuffs were closed and had terrible luck while queuing for one of them, i enjoyed myself thoroughly!

THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Long Live All Blacks!

Filed under: Life — yminisa @ 1:01 pm

Haiz.

Haiz.

Haiz.

This is the saddest news ever – new zealand lost to france in the rugby world cup match on sunday morning signalling the end of their stint at the world cup competition.

I love the All Blacks. The haka, the spirit, the play, the fun.

It was a truly unique experience watching the match at chijmes in the wee hours of the morning – our first time watching a match together although u’ve been playing for like ages. Sipping my ‘Toblerone’ and getting slightly ‘high’. And also seeing the unexpected win of england and the joy of the supporters who were dressed as superman, auystin powers, priests and the incredibles.

I dont know if its the sport that unite the pple or just pple exuding the love of the sport. Would the Red Lions have a similar effect on Singaporeans? One can only wonder…
