Happy Birthday To You

Happy Birthday to En Jian! You’re 20 today.

Sometimes, when i have nothing to do, i wonder why people celebrate birthdays. Is it the fact that u’re growing older (but not necessarily wiser)? Or is it just an excuse for joy?

No one ever THINKS, on anyone’s birthday, about the true meaning of the celebration. It is seldom known as the-day-you-were-born but the-day-we-celebrate. I am not veryarticulate at explaining but i think it’s weird why no one ever sings Happy Birthday to a Newborn besides the fact that he/she prob wont understand. It’s like even the song was made for celebration instead of remembrance. Very much like Christmas i’d say. Only true lovers remember the true meaning.

But still, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

How fast two weeks fly past. The boys are out for their first break frm army. A pity i cannot join them because of another appointment. Would love to take pictures of all the bald heads together ! Haha.

I appreciate my parents very much now seeing what they had to go thru to take care of me when i was a baby. All the sleepless nights, feeding, burping etc. Really glad that i have a happy family and a loving and warm one too.

Mixed Feelings.

I went for my very first job interview today. I have been for numerous interviews for many other things but a job. Although i am already 18, i still feel like a 15 yr old going for a job interview. I know it’s silly but i was anxious, excited, and worried. Haha. But it turned out to be even more relaxing than some of the prefects or cca interviews i have been for. However, although i wanna grow up, be 21, i dun like the process. For the first time today, i dun wanna grow up. So many problems, responsibilities and hurdles.

 

Do Re Mi

My Nephew was born on the 11th of Jan 2007 at 1.10pm. Realise how there are many ‘1′ in his birth date and time. Another highlight is that En Jian and i brought shimin out together, just the three of us. Thankfully she was in a good mood so she didn’t throw any tantrums which would have left me totally helpless.  Dont feel like typing too much so i shall let pictures do the talking for me.

Overdued Employment

Everyday my dad comes home from work and asks me when i am going to work, as if the last time he asked was a week ago. Everyday my mum, while she is cooking, asks me when i am going to work, as if i am staying home too little. My dad wants me to go, my mum wants me to stay.

I did not wanna work initially. But the more i stay at home, the more i cant cheat myself that i have NOTHING to do at home besides looking after my niece and nephew. Which basically means being a premature housewife.

So i am going for the in between, going to work, but not so soon.

HOTEL BMTC

Found a song with this title abt a year ago on talkingcock.com (i think). It was a really meaningful song speaking of the joys (if any) and sorrows of the first three months in BMTC. haha.

Well, to my beloved classmates (and friends) going to the army really really soon in a few hours, i wish you guys health, endurance, mental strength, two pieces of thick skin for each cheek, and physical fitness. May you guys come out in a piece with the realisation that you’d give up anything to be in school again. And for those without any special someone to call, please do not prank call us girls but we dun mind taking turns allowing you to pretend saying sweet nothings into your phones.

Haha. How fast 2 years flew by. I shall not be too nostalgic about things, but let me just say that i will certainly miss all the fun we had. And all the 4-7 pple so called class outings. It’s time for you guys to grow up, carry arms to serve and protect the country and the womenfolk. I’m very sure u’d enjoy all the songs, marching and propaganda! Have fun!

New Life

I’m looking forward to 11th January! My sister in law’s giving birth on that day to the newest addition to the family – my nephew. Haha. I really wonder how i’m gonna handle two kids in the house. But well, good training for when i become a mother – or could i say… tai tai. Haha!

Last Gathering… (maybe)

Well, this may be the last gathering for A53 before the guys go into army with the exception for those already enlisted or enlisting in april. I had fun that day with sherry and charis esp. Thanks charis for the recommendation of the nice pub.
